France

Of all the countries we have visited so far, France is the one we know best and feel most comfortable in. For that reason, instead of signing up for guided tours, we rented a car and drove around in Normandy: From Le Havre to Mont Saint-Michel to the random (for us) beach town of Houlgate and back to Le Havre. Although it was wonderful to benefit from the expertise of the local guides in Russia, Poland, Germany, and Belgium, we felt the time had come to get in a car by ourselves and go places simply to enjoy the sights, the sounds, the tastes, the smells…

Similarly, I thought that a change in the format of this blog would be pertinent, so I made a short video of our stay in France, with images and sounds that I hope will appeal to your senses. For those of you who would like to know more details about the different scenes, here is a list:

De todos los países que hemos visitado hasta el momento, Francia es el que mejor conocemos y en el que más cómodos nos sentimos. Por ese motivo, en vez de apuntarnos a excursiones guiadas, alquilamos un coche y nos dedicamos a recorrer Normandía: De Le Havre a Mont Saint-Michel a la aleatoria (para nosotros) ciudad costera de Houlgate y de vuelta a Le Havre. Aunque fue estupendo beneficiarnos de los conocimientos de los guías locales en Rusia, Polonia, Alemania y Bélgica, sentíamos que había llegado el momento de coger un coche nosotros solos e ir a sitios para disfrutar sin más de las vistas, los sonidos, los sabores, los olores…

Abundando en esa misma idea, he pensado que sería pertinente cambiar el formato de este blog, así que esta vez he preparado un vídeo corto de nuestro viaje en Francia, con imágenes y sonidos que espero apelen a vuestros sentidos.
